Who is Red John?

Theories of Hll (89)

I've never really liked any "List of 7" suspects for RJ, that is individually speaking BUT...as a collective whole, they might all just add up to RJ quite well [The whole is greater than the sum of it's parts]

WHAT IF Rebecca Anderson's RJ is not the same as Lorelei Martins RJ.....WHAT IF:

HAFFNER committed the 1988 Visualize Barn murders...because he was there at the time, a troubled youth, and is connected with Visualize.  Do we have ANY information about McAllister's connection with Visualize?

PARTRIDGE killed Janet and Carter Peak...because it SURE looks like Partridge in the picture, not McAllister at all

MCALLISTER...killed Jane's family [as well as a few others]  because Jane killed the man he believed killed his family, and I believe that much is true

KIRKLAND TWIN was Rosalind Harker's lover..because McAllister doesn't fit this bill and we know the least about Kirkland Twin, but enough to know he fits her description exactly, especially the "smells of pine" part given his barn is in woods

BERTRAM, I think, went to see Sophie Miller -- but it could have been the other "whistlers" HAFFNER or MCALLISTER

WHO is walking behind Rebecca Anderson as she's being led down the hall by the guard?  Do we know who that redhaired woman is?

Heller should branch off:

"Patrick Jane goes to the White House"
"Patrick Jane at the Pentagon"
"Patrick Jane takes Manhattan"
"Patrick Jane Meets Jessica Fletcher"

Why did Partridge and Todd Johnson say "Tyger Tyger," when they were dying?

WHY didn't they just say "BLAKE ASSOCIATION" if they were trying to tell who killed them?

Little hints remain in the series indicating that it's not over with RJ saga -- like the fact that Jane still wears his wedding ring as a promise to his wife and daughter to find justice for them -- which doesn't make a lick of sense if the real RJ is REALLY dead and gone.  It's been over two years now.  Seems reasonable to think that ANYONE would want to start moving on after a decade of pain and searching, and two years on an island where you don't speak the language...

Jane is pretending to believe that he's killed Red John...

because...JANE GIVES THE VILLAIN WHAT THEY WANT AND EXPECT...FOR A TIME...before he reveals his true intention and knowledge of their crime, finally capturing them.  When he captures them -- he needs PROOF.  You can't just implicate someone and expect to succeed.  They have to be caught "RED HANDED"  :p

Villain is usually arrogant enough to believe they've gotten away with it, tricked everyone -- that they're smarter than others, which is precisely when they'll make mistakes -- RED JOHN is NO DIFFERENT, just a villain requiring a lot longer time in terms of obtaining real proof.

Just when you think you're only watching the usual weekly crime solving shenanigans of Patrick Jane [having nothing to do with you know who]...

Suddenly, yup, there is it...another subtle reminder about RJ's real identity "hiding in plain sight"

A WOMAN COMMITTING CRIMES, BUT ALSO USING MEN TO HELP HER COMMIT THEM

[and a repeat of theme of water/marina/boat seen in previous episodes]

In the Pilot, we discover that Jane is hunting Red John -- hence, the "RED" episodes.  Also of importance was a new member to the team [hand picked by Rigsby] -- the lovely Grace Van Pelt, a Redhead with computer hacking/surveillance skills that Jane shakes hands with.

And as we all know now, the "RED" episodes ended with episode RED JOHN, when McAllister finally takes credit for being RJK himself.  Interestingly though, it also marks the end of Grace.[and Wayne] working with Jane.

So, Grace [and Rigsby] came in with the RED and went out with it, too.  Interesting.
