Who is Red John?

Theories of Bluebird (21)

@Bringmorewitches  Real fans of the Mentalist have no choice but to move on. Don't blame us for the shitty episodes and no explanations of Red John, what's that got to do with us??

I agree, the producers should give us answers but they won't..Why are you blaming us for that??

And now I finished this stupid argument, I hope you won't go crazy when the series ends and there's no more Red John, like most of us have already accepted it.

@Bringmorewitches, this site is for people who stood by The Mentalist for 5+ years. It's not the fans' fault that they screwed everything up. Who are you? The president of this site?

Anybody has a right to come here and say their opinions about the show that they've loved for a long time, they don't have to answer anybody! Especially when Red John has been dead for more than 2 years.lol.

So shut up and don't tell other people if they can write down their opinions or not. Everyone who comes here has been a big fan of the show at some point. Now that it's ending we should all stick together and not trying to exclude the other fans just because "we still believe that RJ is alive and we only want to talk to people who think the same"..

Tim Kang (Cho) tweeted something the other day that looks to me like a final goodbye:
Tim Kang ‏@Tim__Kang  18hAnd...that's it for me for Season 6 of The Mentalist.
Thank you all for your love and support! It has been an amazing 6 years!!

And that Karl guy is suspiciously thanking all the fans for their love and support..They usually never do this after a season..

Even though I hate the new direction of the show, I will be very sad when we hear the news that it is cancelled..Seeing these tweets makes it more real.:(

The thing that makes me the most sad is this:

In the first 5 seasons Simon Baker's acting was exceptional. When Patrick Jane entered a room, you knew it. He had a sparkle in his eyes, he was sharp, funny and witty. Even if the murder cases weren't always very exciting, I enjoyed watching The Mentalist because I was entertained. I didn't even need Red John to enjoy the show, Baker's acting was enough for me.

Since season 6 episode 9, I see a completely different Simon Baker. I don't know if they are doing this on purpose or they can't even see that they are changing his character for the worst. I barely remember anything Patrick Jane says, he has a couple of lines per episode, very forgettable ones. He walks around like he is half asleep, like he doesn't give a toss about anything. He used to be charming and now he is not. His passion is gone (RJ) and now he is just an average guy.
He had more personality when he was chasing his family's killer.

I don't think they are doing this on purpose, it's just poor writing. I'm sorry but the writers seem really talentless if they don't recognize this..
But how come everything was so good before? Why can't they write good episodes anymore? It makes me sad because I love Simon Baker but he can't show his talent in this show any more, not if they don't change something fast. The show is called The Mentalist after all, not The Miserable Guy Who Doesn't Care About Anything.

Thanks for reading.

Do people in The Mentalist never watch the news? I'm sure Patrick Jane's picture was all over the news when he strangled the most famous serial killer with his bare hands and he escaped the country? How can he go undercover? If this happened in real life we would all remember his face..And they didn't even change his name, he was still Patrick! :P

There's no point looking at details and connections any more, they don't care. It's a Columbo style show now, no deep meaning behind the episodes.

You guys are funny, but I don't want to take away your joy..
Bluebird is the symbol of rebirth, new beginning. Of course it has more meaning, but they are not going to use the most ridiculous meaning, but the most obvious one. That's why that Karl (producer) guy didn't want to say it..Because when we hear the title, it's obvious that Patrick Jane is going to have his happy ending. = bluebird.
He is finally going to let go of his past.
That's what bluebird means. When you list the other, more ridiculous meanings of bluebird, it's rather funny!:D As if the writers are thinking like that! They just look at the most obvious meaning, you should have learned that a long time ago, they don't think like we do!! Lol :))

Bluebird is a symbol of happiness, new birth, hope and love. Look it up.

Something good is going to happen in that episode, not something bad.

They probably have a feeling it won't be renewed so they are trying to end it on a positive note.
